Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has some exciting, and challenging career opportunity in its Projects Department.

Projects Mechanical Engineer
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Candidates with the following Minimum Qualifications and Experience should apply-• BSc. Engineering Degree, Mechanical. • Applicants must have undergone a two year structured Graduate Development Program. • A minimum of five (5) years post Graduate Development experience in Projects or Maintenance at Section Engineer level. • Should demonstrate good knowledge of formal Projects and Maintenance systems in Mining& Mineral Processing Industry, Engineering & Construction or Heavy Manufacturing Industry. • Should be Computer literate in Microsoft Office and SAP ERP System. • Knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical Construction /Installations, • Project Management and Evaluation experience a prerequisite. • Contract Management and related documentation experience a distinct advantage • Membership of recognized Engineering Professional Body an added advantage • Strong Contractor Management skills
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Develop engineering designs based on project technical requirements. • Generate projects budget estimates for presentation to Senior Management. • Ensure Projects are executed within approved budget and timelines. • Ensure all projects engineering work is carried out in accordance with specifications, statutory requirements, regulations and other contractual requirements with due regard to safety, quality, operability and maintainability. • Achieving results through Team Work.
