Applicants must have an earned PhD or DBA a the field of Marketing or should be a registered. PhD student, and a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing, information and Communication Technology or a closely related discipline with a Merit pass or better A good foundation degree in Information and Communication Technology or Digital Marketing is a must.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied research programmes in the Department as well as teach the following courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Marketing Management Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), Search Engine Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Video Marketing. Digital Visual Communication, E-business and related areas. In addition, the candidate will be expected to co-ordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students. University teaching experience is a distinct advantage.
